Job summary

Plumb Centre Norwich, part of the Wolseley Group, is looking for a Sales Assistant who can advise customers at the trade counter, handle phone and email enquiries, and help win repeat business.

This full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota) offers a salary of £26,695 plus bonus and a rich benefits package including pension, healthcare, discounts and wellbeing perks.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the trade counter with product advice and recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email quickly and courteously.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain business.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to drive sales within the branch.
• Assist with warehouse duties and handle stock in/out and order picking.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
• This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30am - 16:30pm and every other Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
• To be comfortable lifting heavy items.
