Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited, trading as Plumb Centre in Weymouth, is hiring a Sales Assistant to support customers, answer queries and drive a 3.5T van delivering plumbing and heating supplies across the local area.

This full-time role is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday mornings, paying £26,695 + Bonus, plus a generous package of benefits including a pension, healthcare, discounts and cycle to work.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is essential.
• Plumbing & heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver plumbing & heating goods in the local area with a 3.5T van.
• Assist trade counter customers with needs and product recommendations.
• Respond to enquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain business.
• Identify opportunities to drive sales within the branch and engage customers.
• Handle warehouse tasks including stock intake, putting away and picking/packing orders.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5T van delivering plumbing & heating suppliers to our customers in the local area
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

Contract

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.30am - 4.30pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.

Requirements

• A Full Driving Licence is essential
• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience
• Warehouse experience
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch
