Job summary

Plumb Centre in Derby is seeking a Sales Assistant to support trade customers, advise on plumbing and heating products, and drive branch sales. The role includes handling enquiries by phone and email, plus occasional outbound calls to prior customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow sales within the branch by engaging new and existing customers.
• Assist in warehouse tasks including stock entry, putting away goods, and picking/packing orders.

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.30am - 4.30pm and Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience
• Warehouse experience
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
