Provides high-quality patient care
Liaise with colleagues and external providers to ensure seamless care
Investigate and refer patients appropriately, in line with guidance
Review results and correspondence promptly
Provider cover for colleagues when required
Collect and review data for audit and QOF purposes
Maintain excellent communication with patients and carers
Attend clinical meetings

As a Salaried GP at Cambridge Avenue & Messingham Medical Centre, you will play a vital role in delivering primary care services to our diverse patient population. You will work autonomously while being fully supported by a well-established team. The practice prioritises their patients care but adopts a supportive and team working environment.
We value flexibility, and whilst we're looking for cover for 6 sessions a week and would also ask for some adaptability to allow for training, holiday cover, and occasional other colleague absences. This is for a fixed term of 10 months to cover maternity leave.
Provide timely and appropriate prescribing, referrals, and follow-up care.
Perform clinical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate treatment plans.
Deliver proactive care through health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle advice.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely clinical records using SystmOne
Ensure documentation meets medico-legal standards and supports continuity of care.
Complete reports, forms, and letters as required for patient care, insurance, safeguarding, or legal purposes.
Work closely with practice nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, social prescribers, and other allied health professionals.
Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to discuss complex cases and coordinate care.
Liaise with secondary care, community services, and social care teams to ensure integrated patient management.
Contribute to Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), Enhanced Services, and other performance targets.
Participate in clinical audits, significant event reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support the practices compliance with CQC standards and clinical governance policies.
Identify and act on safeguarding concerns for children and vulnerable adults.
Follow practice protocols for risk assessment, incident reporting, and escalation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice.
Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and maintain revalidation requirements.
Attend practice meetings, clinical education sessions, and peer reviews.
Participate in duty doctor rota and on-call responsibilities as required.
Uphold the values of the practice and promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and excellence.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
