Job summary

A leading logistics provider in the UK is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to oversee QHSE functions within their Drinks contracts. This full-time permanent role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, developing safety management systems, and leading risk assessments. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in a food/beverage environment, NEBOSH certification, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General or NVQ level 3 and following CPD programme.
  • Strong experience in a similar role in a food, beverage environment.
  • HACCP Level 2 qualification is desirable.
  • Exposure to accident investigation, including full analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders on health and safety matters.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with current and evolving legislation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems.
  • Advise site and senior management on health and safety.
  • Lead risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Coordinate staff training for compliance and competence.
  • Provide statistical and performance data to management.
  • Investigate RIDDOR and lost time incidents.
  • Manage external contractor vetting and control.

Skills

NEBOSH General or NVQ level 3
Strong experience in a similar role
HACCP Level 2 qualification
