A prominent healthcare provider in Royal Tunbridge Wells is seeking a motivated nurse for their Haemato-Oncology Day Unit. The role involves delivering high-quality care and supporting patients undergoing various treatments, requiring SACT training and a commitment to ongoing education. The Haemato-Oncology Day Unit (HODU) is a modern 9-chair treatment facility providing high-quality care to patients with oncological and haematological conditions. Our dedicated team delivers Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT), including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments, as well as a wide range of supportive therapies such as blood transfusions.
Applicants should be highly motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active. The post holder will work as part of the nursing team in supporting the unit manager to run an effective and safe unit. HODU treats patients throughout their treatment pathway providing individualised, compassionate and informed care.

You should be able to combine autonomy with team working sensitivity and professionalism.
You will be expected to adopt a holistic, pro-active and dynamic approach, being responsible for the delivery of a high standard of care and service to the patients. You will in association with your colleagues be required to support patients and their carers on all aspects of their care, be they newly diagnosed, or being treated with palliative intent.

All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date had been agreed.
Following your corporate induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email mtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.net if this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
