Overview

NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate are seeking an individual to join our dynamic and passionate Community Frailty and Hospital at Home Pharmacy Team, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to ensure safe, timely, and efficient medicines management and supply for patients receiving care at home.

Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Support Worker, you will be working at ward/clinic level with the Community Hospital Pharmacy Team and the wider Pharmacy service. You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing patient experience, facilitating communication across care providers, assisting in taking medication histories, managing medication supply, maintaining accurate records and ensuring the utmost safety and effectiveness in their hospital journey.

Qualifications

You should have experience working in a pharmacy team and must have SVQ in Pharmacy Services at SCQF Level 6 (Full award) or equivalent. Have completed or be willing to work towards the underpinning knowledge programme for Pharmacy Support Workers at Fife College.

You should have good interpersonal skills and communication skills and have a passion for patient care. You need to be forward-thinking and flexible and enjoy face‑to‑face interactions with patients and the multidisciplinary team. You should also be able to travel throughout Fife.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rated. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
