A leading nursery organization in Southampton is looking for an experienced Room Leader / 3rd in charge to manage daily operations and lead a team of Early Years Educators. The role requires a minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification, with strong leadership and communication skills. Our passionate team is dedicated to delivering high-quality early years education and care. We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced 3rd in charge / Room Leader to join our team. In this role, you will support the manager and deputy to oversee the daily operations of the nursery and your designated room, ensuring exceptional standards of care and education. You will lead a team of practitioners, foster children's development, and build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers.
The core requirements for the job role are :
Understand and have a good knowledge of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, the Early Years Inspection Toolkit, Ofsted and Local Authority requirements.
To ensure that all statutory guidance is adhered to.
To develop partnerships with parents / carers to increase involvement in their childs development.
Lead and inspire a team of Early Years Educators
Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for children
Plan, implement and monitor age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
Maintain accurate records of childrens progress and development
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery through reflective practice and collaboration.

Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification
Experience in a nursery / pre-school setting, ideally in a senior or leadership role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements
