Overview

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established roofing contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Roofing Contracts Manager to join their growing team. Our client delivers a strong pipeline of projects across central and wider Scotland, with works covering a mix of flat and pitched roofing across various sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced roofing professional to take on a long-term role with a reputable contractor offering stability and autonomy.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects, managing site teams, subcontractors, and client relationships from pre-start through to completion. You will ideally come from a roofing background or have operated within this sector for some time.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing multiple roofing contracts across Scotland
• Overseeing both flat roofing (single-ply, liquid systems etc) and pitched roofing (slate, tile, metal) works
• Planning and programming work to meet deadlines and budgets
• Managing site management and labour teams
• Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard
• Carrying out site visits, inspections, and progress meetings
• Managing variations and supporting commercial performance alongside the commercial team
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
• Overseeing snagging, handover, and defects periods

Candidate Experience

• Proven experience in a Roofing Contracts Manager (or similar) role
• Strong experience across roofing projects
• Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of health & safety and construction best practice
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
