Overview

Strip Down Department: Our client is a large engineering firm recruiting semi-skilled fitters to join the team. We look for candidates with the right attitude who want to learn and contribute to a team. Ideally, candidates must have experience in a Continuous Improvement environment and knowledge of 5S. You also need to be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and have used basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Fitter role on a 2 shift system (Monday to Friday). Shift depends on the line you work on.
• Work on a long-term temporary basis with potential to lead to a permanent position.
• Complete duties with the use of basic hand tools as required.
• Full training is provided to the right candidates.
• Pass a drugs and alcohol test before starting.

Hours and Shifts

• Rotating weeks with Mornings or Afternoons options:
• Mornings: Monday to Thursday 06:00 – 14:00; Friday 06:00 – 12:00
• Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 14:00 – 22:00; Friday 12:00 – 18:00

Qualifications and Requirements

• Working experience in a Continuous Improvement environment and knowledge of 5S.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to learn quickly and contribute to a team environment.
