Roadside Technician

Location: Sheffield

Salary: Up to £35,000 basic + bonus & overtime | OTE £43,000-£53,000

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Roadside Technician to join our client's team covering the Sheffield area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys problem-solving and working independently in a mobile role. You will play a crucial part in getting vehicles safely back on the road, representing a leading name in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults including mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues
  • Carry out routine maintenance such as brake inspections, fluid checks, and battery replacements
  • Use the latest diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix complex faults on-site
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by clearly communicating repair options and solutions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised mobile workspace
  • Record all work completed accurately using company systems
Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a workshop or mobile technician environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 penalty points (no disqualifications)
