Job description

Job Title: Roadside Technician

Reporting to: Regional Manager

Department: Technical Operations

Location: UK - Nationwide

Objective of the Role

To provide roadside assistance and repair services, ensuring high standards of customer service, vehicle maintenance, stock control, and safety compliance.

Main Duties
  1. Roadside Assistance and Repair: Attend breakdowns promptly, perform repairs efficiently, and update the Operations Centre on job outcomes.
  2. Customer Service: Deliver high-quality service consistent with brand standards.
  3. Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain and service the Customer Service Vehicle to minimize downtime, keeping it clean and stocked.
  4. Stock Control: Monitor and manage parts and tools stocks on the vehicle.
  5. Telephone Assistance: Provide technical support to Recovery Operators, Customers, and Operations Coordinators as needed.
  6. Administration: Complete all paperwork related to vehicle, parts, and assistance promptly, following warranty and goodwill procedures.
  7. Health & Safety: Maintain a safe work environment, comply with relevant legislation, and report safety issues.
  8. Training: Identify areas for additional training and communicate needs to supervisors.
  9. Quality Management System: Follow documented procedures and contribute to quality objectives.
  10. Key Performance Areas: Strive to meet all performance targets.
  11. Appraisals: Participate in performance reviews and team meetings.
  12. General: Assist with projects, complete administrative tasks, and report regularly to management.
  13. Regulatory: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
