The Role

As a Risk Framework Manager working on the General Code of Practice (GCOP) regulatory project, you will lead, with support from the Head of Risk Frameworks, the delivery of the Own Risk Assessment (ORA) and Enterprise Risk priorities for the Trustee. You will take responsibility for developing and embedding the Enterprise Risk Framework, Policy and Directive, the Scheme Risk Register, and documenting internal controls. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of critical projects that shape enterprise risk management and strengthen our governance framework.

You will oversee the delivery of the controls element of the Effective System of Governance (ESOG) and manage the ORA process as part of the GCOP project. A key part of your role will be ensuring that ORA findings and recommendations are reported clearly and concisely to the Trustee, while contributing to Committee and Board papers to keep stakeholders informed of progress.

The Person

We’re looking for a confident leader with deep knowledge of risk frameworks, governance, and compliance requirements. You should have proven experience in enterprise risk management and internal controls (including testing and remedial actions), combined with strong project management skills and the ability to deliver complex initiatives to tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as is the ability to present complex information clearly to senior audiences. You’ll be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while influencing and guiding others.

Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with external consultants, Change & Transformation teams, and subject matter experts to ensure the project plan is delivered on time and meets all requirements. You may also be asked to carry out other duties as reasonably requested.

You’ll champion our values by influencing and communicating effectively to support decision-making, fostering collaboration across risk peers and business units to share best practices, and acting as a role model for accountability and reliability, ensuring excellence in policy and governance.

Our values of integrity, community and alignment are the guiding principles that influence our behaviour. They help us make decisions and shape our relationships with others. They’re what we stand for. You will actively demonstrate our values, helping to create a safe environment, to place the needs of the community above oneself and, through a culture of ‘fair challenge’, align to the best interests of our members.
