As a Risk Business Analyst with expertise in Industry/Domain, you will collaborate with our client’s Relevant Department or Team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Did you study a science, engineering or math-based subject, do you have strong quantitative skills and are you looking for applying them in Finance? Are you intellectually curious, keen on developing your quantitative finance skills to drive change as part of a highly experienced multi-disciplinary change team? Did you do your reading to on Black-Scholes option pricing formula and understand why an option results in second order risk with respect to the underlying?

We’re looking for someone like this to:
  • Work on the implementation of a range of new change projects, as part of larger IB-wide strategic and/or regulatory change programs.
  • Work with business, functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to capture and analyse requirements for changes to front to back flows, business processes and systems in response to business or regulatory drivers.
  • Develop requirement specifications and/or user stories for the changes.
  • Partner with Quants and IT on the implementation of the changes, resolving issues as required.
Your team

You will be working in the IB Change team in London. The IB Change team is part of the IB Chief Operating Office and works in partnership with the Business, Chief Data and Information Office and Group functions, and takes ownership to manage and deliver critical strategic and regulatory changes for the Investment Bank. This global team is made up of approximately 80 dedicated program and project managers and business analysts and is focussed on the delivery of critical strategic and regulatory change programs and projects that impact across multiple IB business areas and front to back functions.

Your expertise
  • Good quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working with business, technology and front to back control function stakeholders
  • Ability to build relationships across a global organization, build trust and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Investment Banking derivatives products, industry-standard valuation models and risk measures
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Organisational skills, with good attention to detail
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A ‘can do’ approach and willingness to learn
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
