This role will act as the escalation point for complex, high‑risk compliance issues while managing a varied portfolio of risk and compliance workstreams and projects.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advise partners and staff on complex risk, compliance, ethics, data protection and conflict matters.
  • Support senior risk leaders in promoting a strong compliance culture across the firm.
  • Lead and manage risk and compliance projects and advise on new business initiatives.
  • Analyse risk data to identify process gaps and drive improvements.
  • Draft and update policies, precedents, communications and deliver targeted compliance training.
  • Escalate high‑risk issues, monitor regulatory changes, and coach junior team members.
Profile

The successful candidate would have:

  • Significant law‑firm risk and compliance experience, with advanced knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and professional standards.
  • Qualified solicitor.
  • Proven experience managing, coaching and developing others.
  • Strong communication and report‑writing skills, with excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively, proactive and collaborative in managing workload.
  • Client‑focused and commercially minded, with a supportive and nurturing management style.
Job Offer

On offer to the candidate:

  • Salary up to c.£90,000 per annum plus package.
  • Hybrid working (2-3 days per week) from a choice of 3 offices across the South of England.
