Overview

Responsible for leading a team of highly skilled Risk Data Analysts who use analytical tools and models to implement effective risk strategies and automation solutions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a smooth onboarding journey for our customers whilst reducing merchant and fraud risk. You will also be responsible for producing dashboards and reports to inform business decisions. Day-to-day, you will:

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Risk Analytics team in the UK.
  • Develop and implement automation tools and models (workflows, scorecards) to streamline underwriting.
  • Develop and maintain Machine Learning (ML) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to mitigate merchant risk and payment fraud.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to track risk performance and inform business decisions.
  • Set up monitoring alerts to prevent merchant losses.
  • Work closely with the merchant investigations and fraud investigations teams to ensure effective monitoring of merchants and fraud.
  • Work on risk related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in data analytics in the payments industry.
  • Advanced SQL, experience with Python or R.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and advanced statistical methods for detecting and mitigating risk.
  • Experience using visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Highly productive and self-motivated with excellent communication skills confident working closely with customers / stakeholders and interfacing with Senior Management.
  • Extensive multi-tasking and prioritisation skills, able to excel in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
