Job description
Role Overview

Design, simulation, validation and integration of high‑performance RF sensing technology. Located in Cambridge; includes DoE funding and benefits. Work with state‑of‑the‑art tools and RF experts to design wide‑band antennas for RF sensing and communication applications.

Responsibilities

Prototype new antenna designs, test and validate technologies in the lab, anechoic chambers, and real‑world environments. Assess capabilities, optimise performance and make amendments to improve designs. Prepare for occasional field tests and assist in RF system architecture decisions.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Electronics, ideally with demonstrable academic research in RF engineering.
  • Experience in compact RF antenna design for wide‑band applications, preferably within mobile platforms.
  • Proficient with CDT Studio Suite for EM simulations, informing RF system architecture and signal propagation.
  • Expertise with RF measurement techniques.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, deep understanding of RF fundamentals and principles.
