Job summary

A leading building main contractor in the UK is looking for an experienced M&E Revit Technician to join their team. The role involves developing high-quality 2D and 3D drawings, working closely with engineers and architects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician and proficient knowledge of Revit software. This position offers either permanent or freelance status, providing long-term employment security.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 2D / 3D drawings, plans, and layouts based on design requirements.
  • Use Revit software to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and designers.
  • Verify that drawings meet industry standards.
  • Organise drawing files and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve issues in drawings.
  • Create installation and manufacturing documentation.
  • Convert customer specifications into production drawings.
  • Produce manufacturing drawings and cutting lists.

Skills

About the Role

M&E Revit Technician required, would consider permanent or freelance status.

Our client, a £150m turnover building main contractor, is currently looking to recruit an experienced M&E Revit Technician. They have secured a £multi‑million prime residential fit‑out in the heart of Mayfair and require a talented M&E Revit Technician.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed 2D / 3D drawings, plans, and layouts based on design requirements and specifications.
  • Proficiently use Revit software to produce accurate and high‑quality technical drawings.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide technical support.
  • Verify that drawings meet industry standards, technical specifications, and quality control requirements.
  • Organise and manage drawing files, project documentation, and other relevant records.
  • Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies in drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Create installation and manufacturing documentation as required.
  • Convert customer specification into detailed production drawings (AutoCAD).
  • Produce manufacturing drawings / cutting lists.
  • Assist with the management of an existing and growing standard library of details.
  • Communicate with other departments.
Qualifications

The successful Revit Technician will have proficient knowledge of Revit, producing 2D and ideally 3D models.

  • Minimum 5 years work experience as an M&E CAD Technician.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
