A regional police force in Birmingham is seeking a skilled investigator for their Homicide Review Team on a part-time basis. The role involves researching unsolved homicides, preparing documentation, and compiling reports to aid ongoing investigations. The Major Crime Unit are seeking a skilled investigator to join the Homicide Review Team!
The Homicide Review Team consists of 6 investigators, a mix of experienced detectives and experienced police staff, who are supported by and report to a Detective Sergeant under the direction of a Detective Inspector. The team also has close support from a HOLMES Manager.
Please note this is a part-time role, working 4-days per week (29.2 hours) - the above salary will be pro-rata to reflect this.

Prospective officers and staff must be held to a higher standard of behaviour and accountability than members of the public, and that therefore their right to privacy can be fettered in certain circumstances. Vetting: Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
Medical: Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
Hours: Hours of working will be Monday - Friday between 8am and 4pm, although post holder may be required to work outside these hours occasionally according to the demands of the enquiry they are assigned to complete.
