Review Officer

Location: 1 Catford Road, Catford, London, SE6 4RU

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 7+ Months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £19.10 per hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Support debt recovery for the Council by contacting clients through various channels such as phone, email, and letters.
  • Ensure all actions align with laws, policies, and financial procedures.
  • Negotiate and set up repayment plans, monitor payments, and use the Council's online payment system.
  • Suggest improvements if any service weaknesses are found.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with audit requirements.
  • Work with external partners to assist in revenue collection.
  • Identify cases needing further enforcement and prepare debts for potential write‑off.
  • Keep updated on relevant laws, procedures, and technology.
  • Contribute to reviewing and improving work processes.
  • Promote equal opportunities and customer care.
  • Participate in performance evaluations and training.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
