Job summary

A local charitable organization in Carrickfergus is seeking a retail team member to assist with day-to-day operations in their store. Responsibilities include sorting donated stock, maintaining visual presentation, operating the till system, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Ideal candidates will possess strong teamwork and communication skills along with flexibility in tasks. This is a temporary role requiring up to 25 hours per week with a flexible schedule, and is part of the JobStart program.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated stock, including pricing and identifying Gift Aid donations.
• Ensure high standard of presentation, display, and merchandising.
• Operate the electronic till system, recording donations and sales.
• Market and promote items on various social media platforms.
• Assist with housekeeping and compliance to health and safety regulations.
• Attend First Aid training courses.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated stock, including pricing, barcoding and identifying Gift Aid donations.
• Ensure a high standard of presentation, display and merchandising.
• Be responsible for operating the electronic till system including recording donations and processing sales.
• Working with the store manager to market and promote items on various social media platforms.
• Assist with the housekeeping and adherence to Health and safety regulations.
• Attend First Aid training course.
