Position Summary

Retail Assistant – Part Time
Permanent part‑time role, 12 hours across 3 days per week (including weekends) at a shop in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.
Contract type: PTRA, Position: 12 hours, Days: 3.

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the tills, offering to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.

Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy – ability to jump from deliveries to the till, offer customer assistance on the shop floor, and complete cleaning and stock rotation tasks.
• Reliable – an important part of a small team that customers and colleagues depend on to perform their best on each shift.
• Some flexibility with shifts – willingness to work slightly different hours to cover for the team; rotas planned three weeks in advance and external commitments are taken into consideration.
