Overview

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 16 hours over 4 days per week, including weekends. Typical hours are 16 hours across 4 days per week.

Hours: 16 hours across 4 days per week.

Pay: £10.10 - £12.31 per hour.

The amount you earn depends on your age:

  • Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
  • Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

Your role

As one of our retail assistants you will:

  • Make all of our customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
  • Help customers find the items they are looking for
  • Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, assist with packing, and leave a positive impression with a friendly goodbye
  • Handle stock with care while managing deliveries, placing products into freezers and on shelves for customers
  • Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep shops safe, clean and tidy
Requirements

You will need:

  • A friendly, positive, hardworking approach
  • Enjoy being busy and flexible to cover varied tasks (delivering, till work, stock rotation, cleaning, etc.)
  • Reliability as part of a small team
  • Flexibility with shifts; three-week rota planning and consideration of commitments outside work
