An exciting opportunity has arisen for Residential Care workers to work within a Residential care setting based in Abertillery and the Newport Valleys.

The setting is for children and young people aged 4-16 years old with additional learning needs who have been diagnosed with having ASD and various forms of trauma.

We are currently looking for people who are kind, caring and patient and looking for a career within the care sector.

Flexibility is essential within this role as the company operates on a 2 days on, 4 days off basis with sleep ins included.

You will need to feel confident within a home environment for these specific needs and be able to take direction from senior members of staff, whilst being able to build positive relationships with pupils due to their need for continuity and stability.

The role will include:

  • Assisting key workers with activity preparation
  • 1-1 work with children who require additional support
  • Leading group work
  • Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
