Role: Residential Conveyancer

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 + Up to £4,800 annual bonus

Location: Derby (with hybrid working potential after probation)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

What You\'ll Do

In this role, you will manage a broad spectrum of residential property transactions while delivering an exceptional client experience. You\'ll handle everything from leaseholds and new builds to shared ownership properties, using modern tools and working alongside a dedicated, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Full Transaction Lifecycles: Handle a diverse caseload of residential sales and purchases, including leasehold, new build, and shared ownership matters
  • Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for clients, estate agents, referrers, and other legal professionals
  • Utilise Modern Tools: Work efficiently using a bespoke, in-house case management system
  • Meet Targets: Achieve individual and team KPIs and uphold agreed service levels
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with AML legislation and comply with CQS standards and internal policies
What We\'re Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a conveyancing fee earner or residential property solicitor role
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the conveyancing process, particularly leasehold and new build complexities
  • Digital Confidence: Proficient with case management systems, Land Registry portal, SDLT submissions, and Microsoft Office
  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and empathetic client communication
  • Organisation: Ability to manage a busy caseload independently with strong time management skills
