Overview

Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week (sleep in / waking night will be expected).

Advertised salary includes for night working.

Care Today (Children's Services) are recruiting Residential Care Workers to join our homes. Our welcoming homes provide 24/7 care for young people within the home. The home is for children all facing a variety of their own challenges, and we are looking for enthusiastic and caring people to help make a difference to these children.

During your 6-month probation period, you will be enrolled in an NVQ 3 Diploma in residential care, if you do not already hold one. This will be fully funded and you will be given plenty of time and support to complete. However, you must be self-motivated to complete the qualification.

Sleepovers are paid at 60.00 per sleep / Waking night paid at 15.00 per hour. We also pay sleepovers whilst on holiday (based on avg sleeps from previous 52 weeks).

Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 residential care for children in our homes.
  • Engage with young people to support their well-being and development.
  • Attend and participate in routines and activities that promote stability and safety.
  • Support during sleep-in shifts and waking nights as required.
  • Work on a rota that includes 24/7 availability.
  • Maintain good communication and documentation as part of daily duties.
