Job description
The Company

Tired of corporate pressure, box‑ticking targets and being pushed to squeeze in “just one more survey”? This independent, Devon‑based consultancy was founded by two ex‑Partners who walked away from that world — and built something better.

In just five years, they’ve created a highly respected Residential Surveys & Valuations practice with a simple focus : quality over volume, people over pressure, clients over KPIs. Their team is friendly, supportive and genuinely proud of the work they deliver.

With just five surveys a week, you’ll finally have the time to do your job properly — while enjoying a healthier work‑life balance, a home‑based setup, and regular team meetups that keep the culture strong.

The Role

As a Residential Building Surveyor, you’ll focus on RICS Level 2 & Level 3 Surveys with plenty of scope to broaden your expertise, including :

  • Client liaison before and after inspections
  • Desktop surveys
  • Snagging on new‑build developments
  • Small project management opportunities

This is a role built around autonomy, trust and delivering real value to clients.

The Right Candidate

You’ll already be an experienced Residential Building Surveyor with :

  • AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS (essential)
  • Experience delivering Level 1, 2 or 3 surveys
  • Strong IT skills and confident use of digital reporting tools
  • A full UK driving licence

Most importantly, you’ll want to move away from corporate churn and join a consultancy that genuinely cares about quality and wellbeing.

What’s in it for you?

A refreshing way of working, plus strong rewards :

  • £50,000 – £55,000 salary
  • £4,200 car allowance
  • Commission for surveys beyond five per week
  • Private healthcare
  • 25 days holiday
  • Fully remote working (with regular team meetups)
  • All professional fees paid
  • Laptop, phone and full home setup
  • Ongoing CPD and genuine career development
