Overview

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements. The Research Operations team is part of the Central Finance Service and works closely with the Research & Innovation Service and Faculty Research and Innovation Offices to provide end to end pre- and post-award management of a research grants and contracts portfolio of around £180m p.a. The Research Operations Team has responsibility for setting the framework within which seven Faculty Research and Innovation Offices (FRIOs) and a number of central Research and Innovation teams operate. The team provides support and training to central and faculty-based staff and leads on systems development and maintenance, research finance, risk assessment, quality assurance and compliance.

As part of the Research Operations team, you will be integral to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the University\'s strategic research objectives and research culture. You will play a vital role in providing pro-active support across a range of activities. In particular, you will be overseeing various administrative processes, maintaining and suggesting improvements to research support systems and processes, and ensuring the integrity and quality of research support data.
