Overview

Research participants and staff. It will mean that s/he leads by example and empowers staff in their personal and professional development, promoting the undertaking of a broad range of research to modernise and improve patient care. They will ensure that research will be conducted in accordance with the Research Governance Framework and Good Clinical Practice guidelines to provide assurance that the rights, safety and well-being of trial participants are protected. The post will require an understanding of setting up and running commercial and non-commercial clinical trials as well as building relationships with our local Principal and Chief investigators. The research Nurse Specialist/Team Lead must be able to autonomously plan, implement and manage concurrent research projects as well as providing expert knowledge, skill and experience to support those involved in clinical trials. There will be a requirement to work within a wide range of specialties; therefore, this role requires a.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, empower staff, promote research across specialties.
  • Ensure research adheres to the Research Governance Framework and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
  • Plan, implement and manage multiple concurrent research projects.
  • Build relationships with local Principal and Chief Investigators.
  • Provide expert knowledge and support to clinical trial teams.
  • Coordinate and manage a large portfolio of clinical trials and a team of clinical research staff.
  • Implement and monitor clinical requirements to ensure optimal delivery of clinical trials.
  • Adopt a highly visible clinical profile and an accessible, flexible, confident, and self‑motivated approach.
Working Pattern

Full time - 37.5 hours.
