The Agile Research Delivery Team (ARDT) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Research Nurse to join our innovative and mobile research team. Working across Primary Care, Wider Care settings & secondary care settings.
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of Commercial and Non-Commercial research studies and clinical trials across South East Research Delivery Network.
Previous research experience is desirable but not essential, full training, supervision, and ongoing professional development will be provided.

The post is hosted by Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, with an operational base in Canterbury/Rochester, covering the Kent sub-region. This area forms one of three sub-regions within the South East Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN). While your primary focus will be supporting research delivery across Kent, there may be occasions where you will contribute to activities in Surrey and Sussex to support wider network priorities and ensure flexible study delivery across the region.

As this role involves travel across multiple sites, access to a car and a full driving licence are essential. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with the Trust's expenses policy.

Responsibilities

Working across a range of primary, community and secondary care settings, the postholder will lead the delivery of NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN) Portfolio studies across varied health and care settings.
This will require flexible working across disciplines and the Regional RDN (RRDN) region and will involve the correct identification, recruitment, delivery and follow up for research participants according to the appropriate research protocols.
The post holder will need interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate collaborative working relationships across a breadth of stakeholders.
This post may contribute to line management for and leadership of a team of research delivery staff working autonomously in a variety of specialties and settings.
The role will work alongside different professions from multiple organisations involved in health and care research and will be an integral part of the Agile Research Delivery Team which sits within the RRDN core team.
The postholder will be accountable to the Agile Research Delivery Team Clinical Manager.

Qualifications

Previous research experience is desirable but not essential. Full training, supervision, and ongoing professional development will be provided.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required to facilitate collaborative working relationships across a breadth of stakeholders.
Line management experience and the ability to lead a team of research delivery staff working autonomously will be an asset.
