About the Job

The Research Analyst will deliver market, competitor, and customer research that supports Lampton Group strategic decision-making and commercial growth. The role is responsible for scanning the external environment, analysing customer behaviours, and producing insight that informs business strategy, marketing activity, and service development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking across pricing, product, and service offering.
  • Gather and analyse customer insight through surveys, focus groups, and secondary research.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging innovations that may impact the companies within Lampton Group Provide evidence-based recommendations to support commercial strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of customer segmentation models and personas.
  • Work with the Commercial Insight & Strategy Manager to produce strategic performance packs and market intelligence reports.
  • Present findings clearly to senior stakeholders, highlighting risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
  • Maintain a research library of relevant industry publications, benchmarking data, and customer research outputs.
Experience and Qualifications required
  • Degree or equivalent experience in market research, social sciences, data, or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a research or insight role.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with experience in qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Ability to gather, synthesise, and interpret data from multiple sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to turn complex findings into simple insights.
  • Competence in survey tools and research software desirable.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of customer behaviour.
