Job description

The post holder will join the Manchester Self-Harm Project team in the Division of Psychology and Mental Health, School of Health Sciences. They will have an important role in the collection and processing of self-harm data from hospital emergency department and mental health trust patient records, working with researchers, clinical staff, and IT to ensure reliable access to records.

The role also involves general administrative support, including maintaining project webpages, organising meetings and events, and managing communications. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and awareness of data management and security in accessing confidential patient information. As part of the Manchester Self-Harm Project team, the post-holder will contribute to high-quality research that informs patient care, mental health services, and policy for people who self-harm. The role is campus-based with some flexibility for remote working.
