Job summary

A healthcare organization in Poole seeks a Removal and Deep Clean Operative to join their Facilities team. Come and join our friendly and supportive Facilities team as a Removal and Deep Clean Operative. These roles are based at either Weymouth Hospital or DorsetHealthCare HQ, Poole. You will require a clean, full UK Driver's License for this role.

You will be required to carry out deep cleans in our wards and kitchen areas as well as our theatres, working in conjunction with site housekeeping staff and ensuring the maintaining of National Cleaning Standards. Training will be provided for any machinery used during these cleans.

As the Removal Support, you will be instructed to carry out office moves or furniture/hospital removals. Responsible for the transport, safe storage, delivery/collection of these items. This will include medical devices, all types of office furniture and hospital furniture ranging from beds and wardrobes, to mobile oven units and hoists. Responsible for the dismantling and assembling of equipment as required. Care and attention is paramount when undertaking this form of work so as not to damage any Trust property. The cleaning and simple weekly maintenance of NHS vehicles within this team.

This role is a full-time role, hours are 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility and some weekend working may be required. There will be times you will be required to cover all Trust sites located across Dorset. Work vehicles are provided for work use only and will need to be returned daily to the relevant base.

Main duties of the job
  • To assist with colaboração? (sic) any removal requests, ensuring the safe passage of medical devices and Trust property from one location to another. Duties may include office moves or ward refurbs. Responsible for maintaining records of items put into storage.
  • To perform specialist cleaning tasks gemak across multiple sites within The Trust including carrying out cleaning procedures to prescribed standard and in accordance with the work schedule, hospital policies and department operating procedures, either on an individual basis or asbedarf part of a team. Use specialist equipment for the deep cleaning process and terminal cleaning for which any required training would be provided.
