Job Title: Remote Residential Architectural Draftsman (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (Central Time)

Job Overview

The Residential Architectural Draftsman’s (RAD) primary responsibility is updating our client's residential renovation plans using AutoCAD- collaborating with their interior design team and field project managers to incorporate the necessary priorities and information into new floor plans. The RAD will develop floor plan options during property due diligence, update project plans, including cabinet shop drawings and interior elevations. Additionally, the RAD plays a crucial role in material ordering during the renovation process.

Responsibilities:

• Works with the interior design team to develop revised floor plans and interior design for residential homes.
• Works with field project manager to further understand how interior space should function and what structural limitations may apply.
• Creates & manages virtual floorplans.
• Uses AutoCAD to develop floor plan options for properties in due diligence.
• Uses AutoCAD to create and update project plans and scope of work, including cabinet shop drawings, lighting plans and interior elevations.
• Works with the interior design team to prepare presentations.
• Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary.
• Orders materials throughout the renovation process while adhering to project and budget specifications.
• Evaluates potential problems and technical issues and develops solutions.
• Updates project database with status and costs tracking on a weekly basis.
• Transfers utilities for newly purchased homes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or similar system.
• Must have experience working on residential projects.
• Must understand residential construction means and methods.
• Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Must be able to communicate and relate to a diverse staff and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Must have spatial awareness and ability to envision new spaces, layouts to maximize the potential of a home.
• Ability to utilize strong organizational skills.
• Must possess a high level of integrity.
• Excellent English, verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be located in Latin America or the Caribbean.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Four year degree in related field.
• Five or more years of verifiable drafting experience in residential or multi-family.

Benefits:

• 2 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually.
• PTO will be accrued at a rate of 6.66 hours per month totaling 80.0 hours per year.
• PTO accrual caps out at 120.0 hours. Once a team member reaches this limit, further accrual will be paused until they utilize some of their accrued PTO.
• In addition, all overseas team members are also eligible for nine (9) paid holidays throughout the year.
