The Role

The firm is looking to appoint a full-time Intellectual Property Administrator to join an experienced records and formalities team. This is a busy and varied role, well suited to someone with a solid grounding in IP administration who enjoys working in a structured, deadline-driven environment as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing incoming IP-related communications from multiple sources
  • Maintaining and monitoring critical deadlines
  • Updating and managing data on an IP records system
  • Supporting patent and design renewals processes
  • Handling grant formalities, validations and reporting
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure accuracy and compliance across records
Requirements
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar IP administration or formalities role
  • CIPA Administrator or IPPC qualification
  • Good working knowledge of IP formalities and administration
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and Outlook
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to renewals and/or validations work
  • Experience using the Patricia® records system
  • Familiarity with a Document Management System (DMS)
