£18.81 per hour (including Distant Island Allowance)

UHI Orkney is seeking applications from a suitably qualified and experienced person to add to its Construction team.

This post requires the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and a good communicator.

Applicants must hold an HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent level qualification in the relevant curriculum area. Knowledge of the SVQ in Brickwork and Stonework is essential.

Applicants must also hold an Assessor Award A1 or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this.

The role will involve visiting candidates in their place of work to undertake workplace assessment, maintain accurate records and liaise with employers. You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
