A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a dedicated Solicitor, Advocate or Barrister to join its Police Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and impactful cases while providing the flexibility of remote working, with regular court attendance required in Brighton Wednesdays and surrounding areas.

The Role:

You will be joining one of the largest Regulatory departments in the country with a stellar reputation for providing expert legal advice across a broad range of sectors, including health, the public sector, corporations and individuals. This role is predominantly advocacy-based, requiring regular attendance at Magistrates' courts in Sussex; Brighton is a key location, with hearings sometimes scheduled in Surrey or further afield.

Your role will be to manage a caseload of approximately 100 civil protective order applications in the Magistrates' Court, including domestic violence protection orders, stalking protection orders, sexual harm prevention orders, sexual risk orders, anti-social behaviour injunctions and closure orders.

The Candidate:

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a strong interest in regulatory and police law, accompanied by:

  • Experience drafting and presenting cases in court
  • Strong advocacy skills or a willingness to develop them
  • Strong communication and IT proficiency
  • A flexible approach, with a willingness to travel for uv,
