We are looking for a Regulation Compliance Senior Specialist (Drinking Water and Environment) to join our Quality Regulation and Compliance Team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a senior specialist, providing strategic insight and technical leadership for drinking water and environmental compliance. You will influence national policy, shape long-term compliance strategies, lead assurance and verification activities that protect public health and the environment. - Build strong, trusted relationships with the Drinking Water Inspectorate, Environment Agency, and Defra through regular liaison, ensuring regulatory strategies are successfully delivered
- Lead national forums and contribute to policy development relating to water and environmental regulatory compliance.
- Acting as an internal regulator, providing expert guidance to internal teams
- Develop and refine compliance monitoring and data assurance processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance returns and reporting.
- Drive investigations and embed lessons learned across the business.
Degree level (or equivalent qualification/experience) in environmental science, water engineering, or a related regulatory discipline.
- Experience in water industry regulation and compliance, it is recognised this may be preferentially water or environmental
- Knowledge of Environmental Permitting Regulations, Drinking Water Regulations, standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead complex investigations and resolve issues.
- Full UK driving licence
