Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join our dedicated team at Jackson Vets on fixed‑term basis as maternity cover. The successful applicant’s duties will include nurse consults, assisting with ops/monitoring anaesthetics, in‑patient care as well as helping in cleaning duties. We do not do out of hours at Jackson Vets but there will be an option to join the out of hours rota at Doune if keen to do so. We are a relatively small team and are very welcoming, as are our lovely clients!

Jackson Vets were established in 1985 and moved to the current beautiful modern premises in Balfron October 2024, offering veterinary services in the community for more than 30 years. We understand our client’s needs, which is why we offer 24 hours emergency call‑out services and have a team of experienced veterinary surgeons and support staff who can look after all kinds of domestic pets. Balfron offers the perfect balance between rural charm and urban convenience, being just 25 minutes from Glasgow with excellent transport links to the city. Nestled near the Trossachs and Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, it’s a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering opportunities for hiking, cycling, water sports, and exploring stunning natural landscapes. Working hours

This position is full time, working 40 hours per week, including a share in Saturday mornings. We are also open to discussing part‑time hours for this position.
