Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team of over 20 nurses at Wheelhouse Vets. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) across 4.5 days (Monday to Friday), with Saturdays on a 1 in 5 rota.

Responsibilities
  • All aspects of small animal nursing—from consults and client support to hands-on clinical work, including wound management, radiography, and emergency and critical care.
  • Contribute to a wide range of nurse clinics and have the chance to shape how we deliver these services.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team and benefit from a structured support system, regular team meetings, and guidance from our Nurse Leadership Team.
  • Be a clinical coach (or willing to train as one) to mentor and support student nurses.
About the Practice

Wheelhouse Vets is an RCVS-accredited group with branches in Chesham, Chalfont St Giles, Amersham, and Beaconsfield. Facilities include endoscopy, laparoscopic spays, DR/CR radiography, ultrasound, Class 4 laser, in-house labs, and multiple consult rooms per site. Our team includes members with certificates in ophthalmology, ECC, anaesthesia, orthopaedics, and dermatology. We encourage everyone to find their niche and pursue it. We support charities such as StreetVet, Hearing Dogs, Cats Protection, and Macmillan.
