You will be part of our outstanding nursing team of 14, where no two days are the same and your skills will be encouraged and valued. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, making this a flexible and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.

Role Details

In this busy and varied role, you will embrace all aspects of veterinary nursing, including inpatient care, surgery, dentistry, radiography, nurse clinics, client communication, and supporting the smooth daily running of the practice. Our RVNs are encouraged to develop their interests and take on responsibilities that match their strengths, with many of our current team holding certificates in areas such as ECC, behaviour, and dermatology.

Work Schedule

This role can be full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time, with shifts worked between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

  • Full-time nurses work a 4 or 5-day week
  • Weekend rota of 1 in 5
  • No out-of-hours
  • Our nursing team is expected to work across all of our sites, including Rufford, Southport, Tarleton and Ormskirk.
About the Practice

We are a small animal, first-opinion practice in a rural setting with a welcoming and social team who enjoy taking part in events such as Tough Mudder and the Three Peaks Challenge. Our team has a wide range of experience, from recently qualified nurses to those with over 20 years in practice, creating a supportive environment for professional development.

We are well-equipped with digital x-rays, a modern ultrasound/ECG machine, multi-parameter monitoring, ultrasonic dental machine, and endoscope. As an approved training practice, we are committed to the development of the next generation of veterinary nurses and are looking for someone with clinical coach training or an interest in gaining it.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a positive, empathetic, self-motivated, and proactive team player with the confidence to work both collaboratively and independently. You should be passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to support and mentor student nurses. An interest in running nurse clinics and developing your own area of expertise is highly encouraged.

Why Join Us?

You will enjoy working in a friendly, close-knit team that values collaboration, professional growth, and a good work-life balance. With access to modern facilities and a varied caseload, you will be able to use your full skill set and develop new ones. We actively support and fund CPD, including certificates, in areas of mutual interest and benefit.
