We’re committed to supporting your professional growth and ongoing development.

Wood Street Veterinary Hospital is a busy, 24-hour RCVS-accredited Tier 3 hospital, offering gold-standard patient care in a well-equipped environment. We treat a wide variety of cases from ECC to orthopaedic surgeries and are ISFM standard cat-friendly and rabbit-friendly certified. We have four branch surgeries: Oakwood Veterinary Surgery (Radlett), Holders Hill Veterinary Surgery (Mill Hill), Cockfosters Veterinary Surgery (Cockfosters), and Rosemary Avenue Vet Clinic (Enfield).

Role and facilities
  • Our facilities include: recently refurbished operating theatres; laparoscopy & endoscopy; digital X-ray and dental X-ray; in-house laboratory; isolation unit; separate cat and dog wards.
  • We provide an emergency service with a Veterinary Surgeon and Veterinary Nurse available 24/7.
Rota and work pattern

This is a full-time permanent role, 40 hours per week. Shifts are 8 hours, starting from 7:00am and ending by 9:00pm. There is 1 in 4 Saturdays with time in lieu. There are no nights or bank holidays. A flexible working pattern can be discussed at interview to support work-life balance.

Our ideal candidate

You must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a proactive, can-do attitude. Previous experience in a hospital environment is ideal but not essential; applications from those eager to develop their skills are welcome. Full training will be provided across all areas. A clinical coach qualification is an advantage, or a willingness to complete training in the role is encouraged.
