Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Band 5 Registered Nurses with relevant post registration experience to join our team on the Cardiac Care Unit at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

The Cardiac Care Unit cares for patients with a variety of acute cardiac conditions, including the provision of non‑invasive ventilation such as CPAP and high‑flow nasal oxygen. The unit can perform procedures such as insertion of temporary pacing wires, trans‑oesophageal echocardiography, pericardiocentesis and cardioversions.

Key Responsibilities and Working Environment

Our unit operates within a multi‑hospital network that includes Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Westmorland General Hospital, as well as community health facilities. You will be part of a team that delivers comprehensive cardiac care across emergency, critical, planned outpatient and inpatient services.
