As a Registered Nurse with Leonard Cheshire, you will be responsible and accountable for providing the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support to our customers as outlined in Person Centred Plans.

Responsibilities
  • Order and administer medication, ensure safe storage and record all information in accordance with internal procedures and NMC guidelines.
  • Effectively lead a team of support staff, ensure the smooth and efficient management of the shift, prioritise and plan, and delegate relevant activities for the support team to meet customers’ needs within a safe and caring environment.
  • Support ongoing assessments, observe changes in health and well-being, ensure records are maintained in a timely way, and support customers with physical care, personal hygiene needs and daily tasks.
  • Be flexible to work rostered hours and on-call rota as required.
Qualifications
  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • A thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a qualified nurse (level 5).
  • An understanding of the NMC code of conduct and relevant practice standards and guidance.
  • Effective nursing practice in all basic registered nurse procedures.
  • Flexibility to work rostered hours and on-call rota as required.
