You’ll help us make health happen by:

• Taking responsibility for the well-being of our residents and ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met
• Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals
• Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each resident
• Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to the relevant standards, policies and legislation

Responsibilities and duties

• Take responsibility for the well-being of residents and ensure comprehensive care is delivered
• Lead and support the care team with clinical duties and day-to-day management of the unit
• Administer and order medication, review care plans, and provide clinical guidance to the team
• Deliver best practice and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements

Key Skills / Qualifications

• As a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, manage the unit alongside clinical duties in the home, overseeing care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating care plans, and providing clinical guidance
• Experience in maintaining high clinical standards and ensuring policies are followed
• Ability to provide clinical guidance for care teams and support with CQC tasks
• Strong relationship-building with residents and their families, providing kindness, support and high-quality care
• Effective communication and reporting skills to handover clinical issues to team members and health care professionals
• If working at night, ability to work independently with strong critical thinking, calmness in emergencies and capacity to manage care staff
