Overview
Registered Manager (Solo Home) – SGS Care
Location: Holmfirth, West Yorkshire (HD9). Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum (OTE £80,000). Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week, Monday – Friday). Service: Children's Home for Young People with Complex Needs (ages 7-17).
Responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership and line management for the solo placement home, ensuring high standards of care and safety.
- Manage and support staff effectively; cover shifts when required; maintain a flexible working pattern.
- Develop and implement care plans and ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and internal policies.
- Engage with stakeholders to support positive long-term outcomes for service users.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); willingness to obtain Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years (if not already held).
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a management or supervisory role within the Children's Ofsted residential care sector.

- Type of Young People: Complex Needs (ADHD, ODD, LD); referrals from secure units
- Ofsted Rating: Established Home
- Staff Ratio: 3:1; potential to operate at 5:1 with a view to reduce to 3:1 overtime
