Job description

One of our Clients in Slough, Berkshire is seeking to recruit a dedicated and ambitious Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead and grow an effective and efficient service, ensuring the highest standards of care for children.

Requirements
  • Proven experience managing an Ofsted-rated Good or Outstanding children’s home.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential care for children, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • QCF Level 5 / NVQ 4 Management in Care / Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children & Young Peoples Services (RQF) is essential.
  • Passionate, committed, and enthusiastic leader with a drive to make a difference.
  • Manage the Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies, and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Safeguarding Legislation and Procedures the Children Act, other relevant legislation and guidance and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing staff team through training and supervision.
  • Manage budgets, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring best practices in child protection.
  • Drive continuous improvement and meet a minimum Ofsted rating of GOOD.
