Position: Residential Children's Manager

Overview
Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for an Experienced Residential Children's Manager in the Derby area on a permanent basis. The position requires ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to all residents and having experience in EBD.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the home's ethos is embedded in daily practice and children are actively involved in their care.
- Lead safeguarding, risk management, and overall governance to maintain a safe environment.
- Oversee access to health, education, social, and emotional support tailored to each child's needs.
- Monitor children's outcomes and progress, ensuring positive developmental results.
- Supervise, support, and develop staff through guidance, performance management, and professional development.
- Lead recruitment, induction, team building, and manage staffing structures, rotas, and on-call schedules.
- Maintain a safe, well-equipped home and manage budgets, resources, and administrative functions.
- Conduct quality audits, manage complaints, and ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and SSCIF.
- Prepare for Ofsted inspections, maintain constructive relationships with inspectors, and submit required Regulation 44 and 45 reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience with children.
- Supervisory or Management experience within a children's setting.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or working towards).
- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Experience in working with children with EBD.
- Children and Young People's Workforce level 3 or 4.
- Must have a clean full driving license.
