Location : Halifax

Salary : £35,908

Shift : Monday-Friday8.30am-5.00pm

Contract : Permanent

Duties of the Regional Service Controller

Take the lead in keeping a high-performing service operation running smoothly.

  • Are you highly organised, confident under pressure, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service?
  • We’re looking for a Regional Service Controller to manage all maintenance, repair, and breakdown activities across a defined region—ensuring customers receive fast, efficient, and reliable support.

In this role, you’ll be the central point of coordination between customers, mobile service engineers, and internal teams.

  • Handle incoming repair notifications, schedule engineers based on capacity and location, manage service inspection contracts, track job progress, and keep all documentation up to date within internal systems.
  • Monitor KPIs such as overdue services, safety defects, WIP levels, and documentation accuracy, playing a key role in maintaining high operational standards.
Required skills for the Regional Service Controller
  • The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent planning skills, the ability to make decisions with incomplete information, and a knack for problem solving.
  • You should be comfortable working in a busy environment, prioritising tasks independently, and helping drive improvements within the department.
  • A commitment to great customer service, willingness to learn, and a proactive, team-focused mindset are essential.
  • Experience in a similar role (dealing with vehicle breadowns, scheduling services etc) is essential, and knowledge of the HGV sector is a bonus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is also required.
