Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in a leadership role is preferable.
  • Extensive knowledge of global RTR practices.

Job description

As a GBS Regional Accounting Lead your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage GBS accounting activities being performed by both our GBS RTR and Genpact RTR teams for your respective region. In this role you will partner with our local market-based finance colleagues and the regional CFO in preparation of month end execution & reporting in addition to reviewing controllership reports prepared by our GBS Management Accountants prior to being distributed to Group Finance and our regional stakeholders. You will also be working closely with our outsource provider Genpact in driving a culture of continuous process improvement and leverage technology and automation tools to optimise process, workflows and to reduce manual/transactional activities. This role is a key leadership role within GBS and ensures that we align to our group finance regional structure and ensures consistent and efficient balance sheet management and will ensure that our month end close process is accurate and done in compliance with IFRS and GAAP statutory requirements. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, leadership skills, extensive knowledge of global RTR practices, procedures and technology, the ability to navigate complex balance sheet processes and procedures, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders in a rapidly evolving organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end month end reporting, ensuring accurate and timely processing for multiple countries and regions in collaboration with our Management Accountants.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regional & country CFOs, Group Finance and Genpact management to ensure seamless balance sheet reporting delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with global group policies, regulations and reporting requirements in each country within your region.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of balance sheet reporting.
  • Stay updated with finance IFRS/GAAP legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologies in global accounting management.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including GPO, finance, legal, and IT, to streamline month end close processes and data integration.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess month end reporting performance and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Manage relationships with external & internal auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders for audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on balance sheet management related matters.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and participate in professional networks or associations to foster knowledge exchange.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience with preferable 3+ years' experience in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in French or Spanish language highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Proven track record of effective leadership and a strong behavioural profile in a complex RTR function, including working with RTR external partners and leading change.
  • Preferable a strong knowledge of global finance reporting, regulations and compliance requirements across multiple countries and regions.
  • Extensive experience in managing relationships within a finance reporting environment.
  • Proficiency in using finance software or systems e.g., Oracle, Blackline systems.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities to drive process improvements and optimize RTR operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling financial information.
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in global finance regulations and best practices.
